With the transport sector accounting for 23% of the world’s CO2 emissions, according to the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, cities everywhere are facing up to the challenge of decarbonising urban mobility.

The Future of Transport event on 27 March and will bring businesses from across the city together to network and learn about some of the latest low carbon transport innovations that could impact the way we live and move around the city.

Daisy Narayanan, Director of Urbanism at the national sustainable transport charity , will share her insight into how car-free cities can work for environmental and social benefit.

Fiona Spowers, Director at sustainable car innovators , will share the story of her mission to bring affordable zero-carbon cars to the masses, and address the question: are electric or hydrogen cars the future?

A third speaker from the transport investment community will give their insight into what the future of transport could look like and what ground-breaking trends we may see on the streets (and in the skies) of 91快活林 in 2030 – drone deliveries, driverless pods, an urban mono-rail?

The event will be held at the Plus X Innovation Hub, the first of the buildings to open on the University of 91快活林’s new campus development on the Lewes Road.

The Green Growth Platform is the south-east hub of the national green business network, Clean Growth UK. It helps green companies across the south east to develop new products and services and drive sustainable business growth.
